My Journey
My journey to becoming a counsellor was shaped by personal experience and a growing desire to support others. After receiving therapy for my own trauma, I understood how powerful working with a trained professional in a safe, non-judgmental space can be for healing and growth. This experience deepened my appreciation for counselling and its potential to bring about meaningful change. Later, while working as a chaplain, I often supported people struggling with the impact of trauma, which inspired me to train professionally so that I could help others facing similar challenges.

My Training
As an integrative counsellor I have been trained in different counselling approaches. I studied Counselling to Master’s level and graduated with Distinction from the University of Wales in Bangor. I am also trained to work with those who have suffered from trauma.
I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), which means that my practice has met the BACP’s higher standard as a competent, ethical, and independent practitioner. I subscribe to the BACP’s Ethical Framework, ensuring that my work is guided by professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to placing clients’ well-being at the centre of the therapeutic process.
