limiting beliefs
When we identify our unhelpful beliefs, it helps us understand how they are impacting our emotions and behaviour. We are then empowered to challenge them and develop more compassionate, realistic ways of thinking. This will enhance our emotional resilience and enable us to respond to life’s challenges with greater confidence.
Self-Awareness
Becoming more self-aware is the first step toward change. It’s important for us to understand what’s behind the struggles that we’re facing. In our early sessions, we’ll focus on building a shared understanding of how these challenges affect us mentally/psychologically, emotionally, physically, spiritually and in day-to-day life.
Trauma
Talking through traumatic events with a trained professional can help us work through their impact on our lives – the effect of the events and how they may have shaped the way we think about ourselves, others, and our environment.
values
People are not problems to be fixed, but unique individuals with their own stories, strengths, and potential. I have a deep respect for each person’s dignity, offering a space where you feel valued, heard, and supported.
Online Therapy

Online therapy offers a convenient, accessible way to prioritise our mental well-being. Whether we’re at home, working, or travelling, it allows us to fit sessions conveniently into our lives. Many people find that being in a familiar, comfortable environment helps them feel more at ease, reduces anxiety, and makes it easier to open up. Since the pandemic, people are increasingly discovering how effective and supportive online counselling can be.
Initial Consultation
Research overwhelmingly shows that the quality of the relationship between counsellor and client is key to successful outcomes. In light of this, I offer a free introductory consultation – a chance for us to connect, ask questions, and decide if you’d like to take things further, with no pressure to commit.
Online Counselling
For online counselling, I use Google Meet – a secure and reliable platform trusted by millions. It’s easy and convenient. I’ll send you an invitation, and with just one click, you can join the session – no downloads required. All you need is a stable internet connection, privacy, and a laptop, tablet, or phone.
phone Counselling
Telephone counselling offers another flexible and accessible way to receive support, wherever you are. Many people find that speaking over the phone allows them to open up more freely, without the pressure of being in front of a screen and camera.
FAQs
Is counselling worth the cost?
Counselling is an investment in our well-being. For less than the cost of an average night out, people find that the improvements in their mental health, relationships, and decision-making make it more than worthwhile.
Isn’t counselling just talking?
Counselling is more than conversation—it’s a structured, collaborative process. It helps you understand patterns of behaviour, explore emotions, and develop practical tools for change. Many clients find that even small insights lead to meaningful progress.
How long will it take?
The length of counselling varies from person to person. Some people find a few sessions helpful, while others benefit from longer-term support. We’ll work together to find a pace and approach that suits your needs and goals.
What if I don’t want to dig up the past?
It’s completely understandable to feel hesitant about revisiting difficult experiences. Counselling isn’t about forcing you to relive the past – we’ll focus on what feels most relevant and helpful, at a pace that feels safe for you – whether that’s past experiences, present challenges, or strategies for moving forward.
How much does it cost?
My fee is £55 per session. I offer concessionary rates for counselling trainees or those on a low income.
Do I have time for counselling?
Busy schedules are a challenge we all face, but counselling can help you manage stress and time more effectively. Even short, regular sessions can make a noticeable difference in how you feel and cope. Having remote therapy reduces the time commitment (no travelling).
How does Counselling Help?
Counselling provides a safe, supportive space to explore your thoughts and feelings, gain insight into patterns or challenges, and develop tools to manage them. It can lead to greater self-understanding, emotional relief, and positive changes in how you relate to yourself and others.
Will counselling make me feel worse?
While counselling can sometimes bring emotional discomfort, as challenging experiences are explored, it provides a supportive space to deepen self-awareness and develop healthier ways of relating to thoughts, feelings, and life’s challenges.
